Nassau County Police said detectives were informed of two separate disturbances in Cedarhurst at around 1:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4.
The first happened near Lincoln Street and Oakland Avenue, and the second occurred near Barrett Road and Washington Avenue.
In both cases, witnesses said a man driving a Lexus pulled up and made verbal threats and antisemitic remarks to numerous people before driving away.
Police located the suspect, 38-year-old Alvin Tirado, of Queens, a short time later.

The officer was taken to a hospital. Authorities did not elaborate on the nature of the injuries.
Tirado is charged with assault, aggravated harassment, and menacing. He was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday, Oct. 5.
